Meditation can bring benefits to many different lifestyles, but it is particularly well suited for busy people who find it difficult to slow down and take a break.
Our meditation courses are usually eight weeks in duration - as are the Yoga and Pilates courses – and are available to everyone, not just our corporate clients. Meditation forms a key part of Total Fit’ holistic approach to wellbeing.
Simply slowing down and taking part in a calm and centred meditation class helps your mind and body to become realigned, and gives you a more positive outlook on your future.
Yoga
Although traditionally the goal has been the union with the true self, in today’s society yoga is more about relaxation through stretching, thereby toning.
Yoga focuses on the down to earth benefits. These include improved physical fitness, mental clarity, greater self-understanding, stress control and general well-being.
It is a process that focuses your awareness on what you do and how you feel as you perform certain postures. You succeed by trying.
Pilates
A contemporary and original exercise method that incorporates modern exercise principles. It is like yoga and allows individuals to exercise safely and delivers optimal strength, flexibility and endurance, without adding bulk.
This stress relieving method can be performed on a mat or with equipment. Designed to restore natural curves of the spine and rebalance muscles around the joints. Much of the exercise is body conditioning that requires you to look within, focus on breathing and feel the subtle differences within your body.
